(23 October 2025) The eighth Legislative Council General Election will be held on 7 December. The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) will fully support the election and actively encourage all colleagues to vote by offering flexible work arrangements. Towngas wishes the preparatory process well and the election every success.

The Chief Executive mentioned at today’s election kick-off ceremony that this election is a major event in Hong Kong’s advancement from stability to prosperity, and is also a significant matter concerning the accelerated economic development and improvement of people’s livelihoods in Hong Kong, affecting every resident of the city. Towngas agrees with this view and firmly believes that this election holds great significance for Hong Kong’s long-term development.

Towngas has been rooted in Hong Kong for 163 years, calling Hong Kong home and regarding service to the public as its mission. Following the improvement of the electoral system, the composition of the Legislative Council has become more comprehensive, enabling business sector views to be effectively reflected through the professional expertise of Legislative Council members, thereby enhancing the business environment. The Company will make flexible work arrangements for staff members who need to be on duty that day in order to encourage and mobilise all employees to exercise their civic rights on 7 December by voting under the theme “Join the Election Together, We Create the Future”.
