Towngas reminds public about fraudulent emails
(30 May 2025) Towngas has received reports from customers regarding suspicious emails falsely claiming to be from our company. These emails typically have the subject line “Please update your payment information immediately to avoid service interruption” and falsely state that customers’ services have been suspended due to payment issues. Following our investigation, we can confirm these emails are entirely fraudulent and contain fake links. Towngas urges customers and the public to be vigilant against suspicious emails from unknown sources.
Towngas would like to categorically state that we have not sent these emails to any customers. We have reported this matter to the police and are taking appropriate action. We strongly advise all customers to remain vigilant—if you receive any suspicious communications, please do not open any attachments or click on any links they contain.
