(11 February 2026) The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) is participating in the HYAB Scheme on Corporate Summer Internship on the Mainland and Overseas 2026, marking the sixth consecutive year as a partner enterprise, providing mainland internship opportunities for Hong Kong tertiary students.

Through the eight-week summer internship, Towngas enables young people to experience firsthand the workplace realities of Hong Kong and the mainland, enriching their learning experience and broadening their horizons to seize opportunities brought by national and Greater Bay Area development.

This year, Towngas will provide internship positions covering multiple core business areas, including city-gas engineering, renewable energy, business development, marketing, corporate management, and safety and risk monitoring. Interns will be assigned to Shenzhen, Suzhou, and Changzhou to participate in daily business operations, project support, and innovative practices.

Towngas will subsidise major expenses such as transportation and accommodation, and provide professional mentors, workplace training courses, and safety knowledge seminars to ensure interns receive comprehensive support and enhance their professional capabilities and adaptability.

Since participating in the Scheme, Towngas has cumulatively provided valuable internship platforms for over 60 students, covering multiple disciplines including engineering, environmental science, energy management, finance, and public administration. Towngas will continue to strengthen youth talent development, discovering potential and contributing to Hong Kong’s talent development through such diversified internship programmes.
