Carbon Reduction Commitment

The Group is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 through energy transition and innovation, including the development of renewable energy, waste-to-energy, green hydrogen, energy efficiency improvement, methane reduction, and other collaborative projects with universities and research institutes.

We continuously monitor our direct and indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and have established Carbon Inventory Accounting Procedures based on international standards such as the GHG Protocol and local guidelines. GHG verifications aligned with ISO 14064-1 are regularly conducted, which allow us to identify areas for continual improvement.

We recognise that GHG emissions from our operations are one of the contributors to climate change. To mitigate their impact, we have reduced our direct and indirect GHG emissions by upgrading our infrastructure and strengthening control measures. We also use low-carbon energy sources such as natural gas and bio-natural gas, employ energy-efficient equipment, and improve our production processes. Additionally, we work continuously with our customers and suppliers to help them reduce their GHG emissions. The Group also collaborates with industry and professional bodies, trade associations and non‑governmental organisations (NGOs) to provide input into the formulation of public policies that promote the development of low-carbon energy systems aligned with the climate goals of the Paris Agreement.
