Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau visits Towngas to explore collaboration opportunities

(3 March 2025) A seven-member delegation led by Mr Fang Baocheng, Deputy Director of the Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau (HRSSGZ), recently visited The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas). Arranged by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on human resources matters, shared insights on talent development programmes, and explored future collaboration opportunities.

During the exchange, representatives from HRSSGZ gained detailed understanding of Towngas’s business scope, development journey, and training initiatives on the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. HRSSGZ commended Towngas, as one of Hong Kong’s longest-established public utility companies, for its continuous pursuit of excellence in technological innovation, corporate social responsibility, and talent development, all of which have yielded significant achievements.

Mr Lam Ming-wing, Towngas Chief HR Officer, briefed the delegation on the Company’s latest strategies for talent acquisition and technical training, stating, “We look forward to strengthening our partnership with HRSSGZ, exploring opportunities for talent pool development and other collaborative projects that will mutually benefit both parties.”

This visit not only deepened mutual understanding but also laid the groundwork for future cooperation. Through enhanced exchange and collaboration, both parties can share resources and complement each other’s strengths. Moving forward, Towngas will maintain close communication with HRSSGZ, actively exploring additional collaboration opportunities and jointly contributing to talent development across the Greater Bay Area.
