Air quality is critical to public health. We are committed to improving air quality through ongoing monitoring and control of air pollutants. Beyond ensuring compliance with all applicable local emissions regulations, we implement a range of measures to further reduce air emissions. Our Environmental Policy outlines our commitment to managing and enhancing air quality.
Our air emissions mainly comprise non-greenhouse gas pollutants, including nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulphur oxides (SOx) and respirable suspended particulates (RSP). These air pollutants primarily arise from the combustion of fuels such as natural gas and naphtha, as well as vehicle fuel consumption, and are therefore closely linked to carbon emissions. Our energy conservation and emission reduction measures not only lower carbon emissions but also help reduce air emissions.
