Towngas Managing Director Alfred Chan is inducted into the HKIE’s Hall of Fame
In celebration of its 40th anniversary, The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) presents the Hall of Fame award this year to distinguished members for honouring their outstanding contributions to the institution, the engineering profession and the community. With multi-aspect achievements and contributions, Towngas Managing Director Alfred Chan was inducted into the HKIE’s Hall of Fame.
Mr. Chan is a Fellow of the HKIE, Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Fellow of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM) and Fellow of the Energy Institute of the UK. After being selected as one of the World’s 100 Best-Performing CEOs by Harvard Business Review (HBR), Mr. Chan becomes one of the HKIE Hall of Fame Inductees and this manifests his remarkable achievements in both engineering and general management.
The HKIE Hall of Fame was established in 2010. All the HKIE Hall of Fame Inductees are nominated by Corporate Members of the Institution for induction into the Hall of Fame. Each inductee has given exemplary contribution for the betterment of Hong Kong. This time, a total of 13 outstanding engineers are inducted into the HKIE’s Hall of Fame. The induction has undoubtedly affirmed their remarkable contribution to the engineering profession.
