Charitable Activity Fills the Lantern Festival with Warmth and Love
The annual “Mad Dog Café” charitable programme was held during the Lantern Festival on 5 March this year. Towngas Managing Director Office specially prepared glutinous rice dumplings in osmanthus and ginger soup as well as a jumbo-sized hot dog combo featuring a secret recipe to encourage colleagues to actively donate. The donations enable us to deliver intelligent electrical toilet seats in elderly hostels to improve the living standard of the elderly.
This year, we raised a record-breaking amount as donations reached HK$300,2061, including the amount matched by our Managing Director and company. Since 2013, the company has installed more than 120 intelligent electrical toilet seats in the elderly hostels of TWGHs, St. James’ Settlement, The Hong Kong Society for the Aged and Yan Chai Hospital etc.
Towngas Managing Director Alfred Chan (front row, fifth from left) and his wife (front row, fourth from left) prepared the “Managing Director Combo” with colleagues.
Towngas colleagues showed their enthusiasm for charity work, and countless supporters appeared at the event.
