Towngas won “2013 HKAI: Innovation and Creativity Grand Award”
Our self-developed and highly innovative multi-functional robot, the Laparobot, received the Innovation and Creativity Grand Award at the “2013 Hong Kong Awards for Industries” award presentation ceremony. The event was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai on 24 October. Apart from being used to clear obstacles in old metallic pipes, the Laparobot can also be equipped with inspection and operation tools providing diverse usage applications inside the pipes. A wide range of rehabilitation work can thus be carried out in a safe, environmentally-friendly and efficient manner, while public nuisance is also significantly reduced.
Chief Secretary for Administration Carrie Lam (Right) presented the award trophy to Towngas Managing Director Alfred Chan.
