On 17 July, echoing the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, Towngas Volunteer Service Team (TVST) joined Hong Kong Housing Society in organising the “OHlympics” event for a hundred senior residents of Cheerful Court.
 
During the pandemic, the elderly often stayed home and lacked the opportunity for exercise. Thus, a series of activities comprising Olympic elements were arranged, such as torch relay, warm-up exercises, Mölkky, Taspony, square-stepping, balloon volleyball and foam archery. In addition to offering an experience of the joyous Olympic atmosphere, the event also served to encourage seniors to exercise and maintain their physical and mental health.
 
Thirty TVST volunteers helped out at the activity and enjoyed a fun and healthy “OHlympics” with the elderly.
