Success for Towngas at "Corporate Governance Excellence Awards"
Towngas was honoured in the “Hong Kong Corporate Governance Excellence Awards 2013”, at a presentation ceremony held on 12th December last year. As a result of the company’s excellent performance in the area of corporate governance, Towngas was the winner in the category of Hang Seng Composite Index Constituent Companies. The awards are co-organised by The Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies and the Centre for Corporate Governance and Financial Policy, at Hong Kong Baptist University. They were first launched in 2007 as a way of acknowledging those companies which have showed outstanding commitment to areas of business such as shareholder rights, board independence and leadership, integrity and corporate social responsibility.
Towngas Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer - Utilities Business and Towngas China Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Peter Wong (centre) received the award.
