Welcome to Towngas 150th Anniversary Exhibition
In celebration of Towngas 150th birthday, we organised Towngas 150th Anniversary Exhibition during 6 -10 June at IFC Mall. You are welcome to visit us now!
The Exhibition features five zones, namely, The Flame of Hong Kong, Fun Advertising, Low Carbon Action!, 150 Years of Glory and Towngas the New Era. It offers visitors an insight into our growth, from lighting Hong Kong’s streets with first gas lamps to present, and how over the years, this paralleled Hong Kong’s progress and advancement.
In “The Flame of Hong Kong” zone, we showcased Towngas’s early appliances, featuring genuine exhibit items such as Towngas water heater, cooker, gas iron, gas meter and service set for water heater that is rarely to be seen.

Other genuine exhibit items include a towngas stove, a gas iron, and a gas meter.
The exhibition also displays with vintage-style photo taking areas.
The Fun Advertizing zone exhibits a replica of Towngas float in 1928. It is adorned with series of promotion materials from the old days, with the oldest one traced back to the early 20th century. Visitors may also review classic Towngas commercials with the famous Towngas jingle to refresh your childhood memories.
Also exhibits in the Fun Advertizing zone in the Towngas 150th Anniversary exhibtion is one of a genuine item, a vintage vinyl record dated back to the year of 1977, which features the Towngas jingle originally sang by The Wei Zhen.
Towngas will announce an array of celebration activities, namely 150th Towngas Appliance Lucky Draw, Citywow coupon campaign, Towngas Young Master Chef Academy, Towngas 150th Anniversary cum Pit Cover Exhibition and various community events.
