"Tree-planting Challenge 2011" Recruits

Towngas continues to sponsor Friends of the Earth (HK)'s Tree-planting Challenge 2011, which will take place at Tai Lam Country Park on 17 April (Sunday). The event is now open for enrolment. Anyone aged 15 or above, who wishes to make a contribution to the environment by helping to plant trees, is welcome to join in and take on this challenge.
The theme for this year’s "Tree-planting Challenge" is "Plant a Wish for a Better Climate". Take action against climate change. Join our tree-planting event – working together, let’s reduce our carbon footprint and help alleviate the impact of global warming.
Mission
To plant a designated number of seedlings and complete an approximate distance of 13 km on a designated hiking course within 6 hours.
To carry seedlings and planting tools from a Seedling Distribution Point uphill, and to dig holes for the planting of the trees at the designated site.
