Towngas alerts customers to recent suspected scam emails
Towngas has recently received customer enquiries on suspicious emails. Written in English and purportedly issued by Towngas, the fraudulent emails state that service to the recipients has been suspended due to payment issues. Upon investigation, the alleged claim and the links contained in the emails have been found to be false.
Towngas would like to confirm that it has not issued such emails to customers. The matter has since been reported to the police. Please remain on the alert and do not click on any attachment or link contained in any email or message that appears suspicious. Towngas condemns the suspected illegal acts of fraud involving the unauthorised use of its name, and shall fully co-operate with the relevant police investigation.
