Towngas Features in “Global Chinese Business 1000”
Towngas was once again listed by Yazhou Zhoukan in its “2013 Global Chinese Business 1000”, ranking at number 38. Among the 138 Hong Kong companies which featured on the list, Towngas came eight which is the highest ranking of any local public utility. Towngas also ranked fifth in the Oil and Energy category.
The ranking of the companies was decided according to their stock market value at the end of August 2013. In 2013, the market capitalisation of the top 10 Chinese businesses was over US$286 billion. This was a 16% increase on 2012 when the market capitalisation was US$245.7 billion.
