The fifth wave of the COVID-19 epidemic has taken a particularly heavy toll on local grassroots, as well as the catering industry. In light of the situation, the Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) has launched a HK$10- million Dining Coupon Scheme, under which every account holder who has joined the Towngas Concession Scheme will be entitled to a set of dining coupons worth HK$200, benefiting an estimate of 50,000 households in Hong Kong. The coupons can be used at around 600 branches of the participating restaurants. Through the Scheme, Towngas hopes to provide more direct support to the underprivileged and boost local consumption, so that Hong Kong can get over the dire situation caused by the epidemic soon.
Towngas Concession Scheme has been helping groups in need, including the elderly, people with disabilities, single-parent families and low-income families. All account holders who have been successfully approved for the Towngas Concession Scheme before 30 April 2022 are eligible to receive the dining coupons with no additional registration needed. Towngas will send the coupons to the correspondence addresses of all eligible customers.

Each eligible Towngas account holder will be given 7 dining coupons with a total value of HK$200, which can be used at designated restaurants.
