Towngas once again launched the “Rice Dumplings for the Community” campaign this year. Although the epidemic has made it difficult to get together for festive activities, our desire to send greetings and care to the grassroots community has never ceased. This year, Towngas has again prepared over 100,000 rice dumplings and joined hands with various social welfare organisations to give away the dumplings to those in need, so that they can also enjoy the traditional festive season celebration.
We gave the rice dumplings to elderly singletons and doubletons, grassroots families, and disadvantaged groups such as the physically or mentally disabled and the visually impaired, who are also the most in need of care and support during the epidemic. Our Towngas Volunteer Service Team also paid special visits to families with elderly singletons or doubletons. In addition to delivering our festive greetings to them, the Team also learned about their cooking habits and reminded them of the safety precautions for using gas cookers, so that they can live in comfort and safety.
First introduced in 2000, our “Rice Dumplings for the Community” campaign is now in its 22nd year. Over the years, Towngas has sent more than 4.24 million rice dumplings to people in need from all walks of life, and our care and support will continue to be passed on.

The Towngas Volunteer Service Team recently visited elderly people who had to go out less due to the epidemic, and delivered the rice dumplings as a token of goodwill.
