Committed to environmental protection, Towngas has sponsored the Plantation Enrichment Project since 2017 in a bid to contribute towards the alleviation of global warming.
To enhance the ecological value and biodiversity of the plantation, The Green Earth joined the Plantation Enrichment Project launched by Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department in 2016. Through long-term, phased woodlands conversion, plant diversity is enhanced, which in turn offers food and habitat for wildlife.
About 50 staff members and customers of Towngas joined The Green Earth for Tree Caring Day on 13 November in groups to care for the seedlings planted earlier at Shing Mun Country Park. Taking action to support environmental protection and reduce carbon footprint aids in deepening the public’s knowledge in forest protection.
