Honoured with Outstanding Partnership Project Award
At the Caring Company Partnership Expo 2014/15 cum Recognition Ceremony on 25 March 2015, Towngas was honoured to receive the Outstanding Partnership Project Award with Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs).
Towngas commenced the social enterprise, CookEasy in partnership with TWGHs in 2007. In early 2013, Towngas announced an allocation of HK$1.5 million to launch the first-of-its-kind “Towngas Warmth and Care Fresh Food Aid Programme” in Hong Kong. The initiative was undertaken in collaboration with The Hong Kong Council of Social Service, TWGHs and the Salvation Army, offering fresh food packs to 150 single-parent or low-income families twice a week. The pilot programme began in Tung Chung and Kwai Chung, and has extended to Sham Shui Po, Kowloon City, Wong Tai Sin and Yau Tsim Mong districts with over 31,200 fresh food packs delivered in total.
Towngas has consistently coordinated with TWGHs to cater to community needs with creative initiatives. This recent honour illustrates our dedication to corporate social responsibility.
