Effective 1 August 2015, Towngas will raise its standard tariff

The Towngas standard tariff will go up by HK 1 cent per MJ, with actual increase of gas tariff at about 3.5%. For approximately 80% of residential customers, this translates to an increase of less than HK$10 each month. The monthly maintenance charge will remain unchanged at HK$9.5. The standard charge for town gas consumption for the periods falling before and after 1 August, 2015 will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. Customers opting for self-reading can continue to do so on the stipulated date.
Recipients of Towngas' concession schemes for the elderly, people with disabilities, single parent families and low income families will not be affected.
