Towngas Won "Hong Kong Smoke-free Leading Company Awards 2013" Gold Award
Towngas was awarded the Gold Award at the “Hong Kong Smoke-free Leading Company Awards 2013”, which was jointly organised by The Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health and Radio 1 of RTHK. The award recognises the efforts of corporations to develop and implement a sustainable smoke-free policy, as well as promoting a smoke-free message to their employees, customers, the general public and other stakeholders. Towngas became a smoke-free workplace in 1999 and the Company has been promoting the smoke-free message ever since. In 2013, Towngas launched a wellness campaign entitled “Healthy Living Every Day” which aimed to promote smoke-free living as well as encouraged colleagues to embrace a healthy lifestyle and to spread the smoke-free message to the public. There were activities arranged such as seminars and counselling to help people to stop smoking.
