Towngas Wins 10 Awards at 13th Hong Kong Occupational Safety & Health Forum and Award Presentation C
Towngas always regards work safety as its top priority. On 5 September, Towngas celebrated its outstanding performance in this regard at the 13th Hong Kong Occupational Safety & Health Forum and Award Presentation Ceremony. The company earned a total of ten awards, the most for any organisation at the event. Thanks to the management team’s support and staff members’ participation, Towngas won public recognition for its excellent Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) culture and flawless safety management system.
This year marks the fifth in a row that Towngas has won Gold for its ‘OSH Annual Report Award’, and for the second time in three years, the company garnered Gold in the form of a ‘Safety Culture Award’. At the same time, the Customer Maintenance Services department and its impressive on-stage performance ‘360O Total Riser Solution’ were honored with all four Gold awards on offer in the performance awards, including Gold and Silver for ‘Best Performer Award’.
The event is hosted by the Occupational Safety and Health Council with support from more than 10 other government departments and professional organisations. The objective is to honor organisations that delivered a profoundly effective performance in promoting OSH culture. Competition was stiff as there were more than 300 submissions from 121 organisations, competing nine categories of awards plus four performance awards. Towngas stood apart from its fellow competitors and was honored with ten awards:
