Towngas Hosts GASEX 2014 Gas Industry International Conference in Hong Kong
Towngas hosted the biennial Gas Information Exchange in the Western Pacific Area Conference and Exhibition (GASEX) at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong on 18-20 November. Spearheaded by 15 gas organisations and associations in the Asia Pacific region, GASEX is a mega-event comprising forums and exhibitions for exchange of information and technology on gas-related topics in pursuit of promoting clean and efficient energy and sustainability of the gas industry. Taking the theme of “Advancing the Gas Value Chain”, GASEX 2014 attracted a record turnout of around 100 exhibitors and 500 delegates and was graced by the Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam as the officiating guest of the event.
Over 500 delegates and 100 exhibitors from around the world were welcomed at GASEX 2014 with lively and auspicious lion dancing, a Chinese traditional ritual.
International gas specialists addressed the GASEX 2014 audience with their insights on gas-related topics surrounding the theme “Advancing the Gas Value Chain”.
As the host of the mega-event, Towngas staged a thematic double-deck booth at GASEX2014 to showcase the Hong Kong gas company’s regional presence.
The Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Carrie Lam (sixth right) joined the GASEX 2014 Steering Committee in a toast to open the 3-day mega-event.
