Join Hands and Make a Difference -- "Earth Hour Hong Kong 2012"
On 31 March at 8:30pm, Towngas would like to ask you to join hands with us to switch your lights off for one hour – in support of Earth Hour.
At Towngas, we have now sponsored and supported Earth Hour Hong Kong for four consecutive years. The event is organised by World Wide Fund (WWF) every year to raise public awareness of the problems of climate change.
This year, we are enhancing our commitment to this environmentally-sustainable action, switching off lights not only at our Tai Po and Ma Tau Kok Plants but also our North Point Headquarters Building, Customer Centres, Towngas Avenues and Towngas cooking centres. Our one hundred city-gas and other businesses on the Mainland are also mobilising support for this event.
Last year, over 2.7 million people in 3,200 buildings and organisations, 328 schools and youth groups, and all Hong Kong's universities, switched off their lights. This year, please join "WWF's Earth Hour 2011". Encourage your families, friends and colleagues to take action against climate change!
