Let's Join Earth Hour Hong Kong 2009 by Switching Lights Off on 28 March
At 8:30pm on 28 March, people around the world will switch off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour. Towngas sponsors this meaningful activity to join the global effort with one billion people in more than 1,000 cities, showing that it's possible to take action on climate change and play a part in ensuring a sustainable future.
We can make a big difference with one simple action. So gear up for what will be the biggest and most important Earth Hour of our planet's history. Join us for Earth Hour 2009, and switch off your lights at 8:30pm on 28 March for a brighter future. We should also encourage our families, friends and colleagues to take actions on climate change by rejoicing and celebrating our determination to save our planet.
Earth Hour, initiated by WWF in 2007, had 2.2 million people and 2,100 businesses in Sydney, Australia switch off their lights for one hour. On 28 March 2009, Hong Kong will be joining Beijing, Shanghai and other cities around the globe to make history by joining Earth Hour, switching off the lights for one hour from 8:30pm. It will be a time for Hong Kong people to think about how we can change our lifestyles to reduce our impact on the environment.
