Towngas and Hong Kong Education City joined hands to organise the “Green Flame Project - Smart Energy Competition”, encouraging primary and secondary school students to integrate and apply STEM knowledge and hands-on skills to create innovative solutions for integrating smart energy elements in the energy industry.
Eligibility and Category
Participants shall enter the competition by groups. There is no limit on the number of participating teams for each school, and each team should consist of 2 – 4 students. Each student can join only one team.
Primary School Division（P1 – P6）*
Secondary School Division（S1 – S6）*
*According to 2021/22 or 2022/23 school year
Requirement
Participating teams shall design an innovative smart energy solution based on at least one of the following themes with any program, software or tool of their choice: 1) Integration, 2) Digitalisation, 3) Decarbonisation.

Each category has the following awards:
The competition is now open for registration and the deadline for enrolment is 30 September. Students shall register through their schools. To provide registered teams with more professional support, the Organisers will be holding a number of consulting workshops in September. Registered teams will get the chance to present their preliminary output and design idea in front of the consulting team formed by education and industry professionals so as to translate the experts' opinions to better their final work.
