Towngas Green Flame VR Fun Fair To Raise Awareness of Environmental Protection
Towngas and HKEdCity have joined together to organise the first Green Flame Project - Inter-school VR Game Design Competition. The competition gives primary and secondary students the opportunity to showcase their creativity in the design of environmentally-themed VR games, while also raising awareness of environmental protection.
The Towngas Green Flame VR Fun Fair will be held from September 7 to 9 at Sunshine City Plaza in Ma On Shan, where the public will be able to view the students’ innovative games, attend green workshops and see live performances. Stay tuned and come visit us!

According to the Fair’s sustainability theme, the entire exhibition area will be decorated in tones of sky blue and grass green. The floors of the exhibition area will also feature scenes portraying grasslands, icebergs, the desert and ocean to highlight environmental issues such as global warming and desertification. Other attractions will include the award-winning outfits of the Upcycling Fashion Design Competition held earlier as well as musical instruments made of recycled gas pipes, to demonstrate how the concept of waste reduction and resource conservation can be put into practice.
In addition to the top three prizes from students in the primary, junior secondary and senior secondary school divisions, there will also be a Popularity Award in each of these categories. Teams with the most votes will be awarded gift vouchers worth HK$ 8,000. Visitors will be able to cast their votes through our online platform or at the Fun Fair itself, while cheering on our student green pioneers.
Also included will be environmental workshops on upcycling, storytelling, VR experiences, and more. Pre-registration for joining the workshops is on a first-come first-served basis.
