Mooncake is one of the core elements of Mid-Autumn Festival and a large variety of mooncakes can be found on the market, but it is the thought behind them that counts the most. This year, Towngas organised the “Heartwarming Reunion” Mooncake Design and Cooking Competition to encourage participants to express their love and care to people around them, as well as spread heartwarming blessings to more people.

1. 1) Each participant can submit one mooncake design file (hand drawn or designed using software) in JPG, PNG or PDF format. The file size must be over 2MB and under 5MB. The filling and flavour of the designed mooncake should be stated clearly in the file.

1. 1) Preliminary contest: Fill in your personal information and submit the design at https://bit.ly/2LF1LmA within the period of 26 July 2019 to 21 August 2019.

• - 10 finalists will be selected for the final cooking contest. The list of finalists will be shared on Towngas’ Facebook page (www.facebook.com/hktowngas) 
• - Finalists will be notified of the details of the final cooking contest after the announcement is issued

• - Each finalist will be invited to bring along one partner for the final contest. There will be a total of 10 teams of two.
• - Venue for the final contest: Towngas Cooking Centre (9/F, Lee Theatre, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong)
• - Works of the finalists will be posted on Towngas’ Facebook page for public voting for The Most Popular Award

1. Preliminary contest

• - Participants can only submit their work once. Entries cannot be replaced/modified/added after submission. Please make sure the work is complete before submitting, and confirm that the required information and file are uploaded as requested.
• - Participants under 11 years old must be accompanied by an adult in the final cooking contest if his/her work is shortlisted.
• - Entries must be original and have not been used for any other occasion. The content must not violate any copyright.
• - The content must not involve obscene, violent, religious, political or other inappropriate elements.
• - The designs must not contain any elements of advertisement.
• - Towngas reserves the right to disqualify any participant without prior notice.
• - The activity period is dated from 26 July 2019 to 21 August 2019 (both dates inclusive). Submission time of the entries are recorded based on Towngas’ server.
• - Participants will be taken to have read and agree to abide by the Terms & Conditions and Other Regulations as set out on this page upon participation in the competition.
• - The copyright of all submitted work belongs to Towngas.
• - Towngas reserves the right to announce and reveal the winners’ names and photos for promotional purposes.
• - Towngas reserves the right to use photos of works in any promotion, exhibition or publication without getting prior consent from participants or paying any copyright fee.
• - Towngas reserves the right to rescind, modify or add to any of the Terms & Conditions or other regulations without prior notice.
• - The personal information of participants will be used for the purposes of the competition only.
• - In the case of any dispute, Towngas reserves the right to decision on all contest regulations and final judgment.
• - In case of any discrepancies, the Chinese version shall prevail.

2. Final cooking contest

• - Participants must arrive at the venue before 9:15am, or else he/she will be disqualified.
• - Participants must finish cooking within the allotted time or else he/she will be disqualified.
• - Participants must not leave during the competition without valid reasons.
• - Participants must not disturb others by shouting, running, playing or any other means during the competition.
• - Participants must comply with the safety and hygiene standards set out by the organiser. Points will be deducted for any inappropriate operation such as wasting water.
• - Participants must follow the instructions and arrangements of Towngas staff and judges.
• - Towngas is not liable for any personal injury or damage or loss of personal belongings.
• - Participants need to prepare and bring with them all of the required ingredients and tools, including the mooncake mould. Towngas will only provide the specified utensils (see the table below for details** ).
• - Participants are not allowed to use electric cooking equipment, such as induction cooker, pressure cooker, electric pan, rice cooker, etc.
• - Participants should make at least two mooncakes during the competition.
• - Participants are not allowed to lobby the judging panels and any Towngas staff without permission.
• - Participants who contravene any of the regulations may be disqualified at the discretion of Towngas.
• - The final work should conform to the design. Participants are not allowed to revise or modify their design at the competition, including the appearance and taste.
• - Prizes are non-transferable and non-returnable.
• - In the case of any dispute, Towngas reserves the right to decision on all contest regulations and final judgment.
• - In case of any discrepancies, the Chinese version shall prevail.
