Towngas Leadership

Launched in 2008, Towngas Leadership Competence Accelerated Programme (TLC+ Programme) is an 18-month talent development programme to build a leadership talent pool for the group. It provides fast track personal growth to selected middle level employees with various development opportunities.

    TLC+ Programme offers our talents a wide range of core development workshops, such as Leadership Breakthrough Workshop, Mentoring Workshop, Tsinghua EDP, Leadership Challenge Workshop, etc. These workshops aim to unleash the potential of our future leaders, as well as to enrich the exposure of our talents with respect to three major development areas: Business Skills, Leading Others, and Execution.

  • Action Learning Projects

    TLC+ members have to participate in strategic projects during the programme. In particular, they have to work closely as a team with their project sponsors so as to accomplish a pre-defined project topic endorsed by top management.

    To broaden our TLC+ members’ horizons, company visits and job attachments have been arranged to learn the best practices from our mainland JVs or business partners. Especially for our Hong Kong TLC+ members, they could gain lots of invaluable China working experiences during the Mainland attachment.

  • Mentor-Mentee Scheme

    Support from senior management is one of the most important factors which make our TLC+ Program a success. Each TLC+ member has been assigned a mentor, who provides continuous guidance and support during the 18-month program.

    Leadership Communication Forums are held periodically so as to foster the communication between our top management and employees. These forums serve as a platform for our TLC+ members to gain lots of insightful ideas and philosophies from our senior management.

Professional Qualifications

Towngas established Towngas Engineering Academy to provide different supports to employees, such as Continuous Professional Development (CPD) seminars and exam-busting tips etc., so that employees can get the engineering professional qualifications.

Apart from the above, Towngas also offers other policies for employees to get chartership:

  • Employees are entitled to a maximum of 6 days’ examination leave
  • Employees who are qualified full / chartered members of professional bodies recognized by the Company as most directly relevant to one's job function / role are eligible to apply for refund of one annual professional membership fee per year.
